MX2 Pilots:

Mark Hensman	Nigel Hopkins	Mark Sampson

Mark Hensman is a training Captain on the Boeing 747 classic. He has 15,000 flying hours and over 17 years of aerobatic flying. He was ranked 6th at the Advanced World Aerobatic Championships 2010, and is the South African National aerobatic unlimited champion. Mark flies No.1 position for the new TeamXtreme International formation display team.

Nigel Hopkins is an Airline Training Captain with SAA flying the Boeing 737-800. He is the Chairman of the SA Aerobatic club. Nigel ranked 2nd overall at the Advanced World Aerobatic Competition (AWAC) 2010, Poland.

Mark Sampson is a senior First Officer for Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong) flying the Boeing 747-400. He has 8,000 flying hours. SA Airforce - Harvards, Alouette and Oryx helicopters. Sun Air- DC9 and MD80's. Nationwide - 737-200. Cathay Pacific B777 and B747-400. Mark was placed 11th at the Advanced World Aerobatic Championships 2010 in Poland.

Location:

The MX2 is based at Morningstar airfield, on the Northern outskirts of Cape Town, just off the N7. The airfield has a single tar runway, club house, and about 20 privately owned hangars. The advantage of morningstar is it's quiet remote location and low air traffic. It is within a 2 min flight of the General flying area - D200, and 5 min from Fisanterkraal airfield or Cape Town International. Minimal ferry time enables us more aerobatic flying time!
